The Optimist is the largest of the Mayne nets. They are designed for those fishing from a boat in search of huge Trout, Steelhead or Salmon. The long handle and large sized hoop gives you the reach to pull in even the largest of catches. These custom, hand crafted nets are not only functional but a beautiful work of art. Getting a fish on the line is only part of the battle, land it successfully and safely with the Optimist Net. 
 
Mayne Nets are hand crafted in Powell River, British Columbia by a professional wood worker, with local and imported woods. They have been tried and tested on rivers and lakes throughout North America. 
 
23" Hoop Length, 14" wide, 52" overall length with rubber netting.
 
 
Two Wood Styles to Choose From: 
1). Iroko and Walnut Handle and Hoop (darker colour wood)
2). Maple and Sapele Handle and Hoop (lighter colour wood)
